Mala Leche has a distinct sound that lives in a world of sometimes sneering, sometimes lush guitar, thundering and expressive drums, and vindictive bass.

This Los Angeles three-piece races, slashes and lopes — often all in one song — with inventive song structures that demand a listener's attention. All this makes for a rich foundation for Pierandozzi's smooth yet searing lead vocals and thoughtful, cutting and often just plain weird lyrics.

In all, this is a rock band that is not defined by a scene (no scene would have them). Their debut Sudden Records full-length release, Mala Leche, hit store shelves in early 2004.
